Munkey-provided Gemini is measured in AI requests per calendar month, shared across your classes. Tutor replies, photo feedback, work transcription, document processing, and search indexing count toward the allowance. One action can require several AI requests. Your account shows your current allowance and usage.
Your existing coursework stays available. To add more classes, students, or files, make room or change plans. If your included AI allowance runs out, upgrade to Pro, wait for the next monthly reset, connect your own API key, or use a supported local model. Create a Gemini key in Google AI Studio, then open Course settings → AI connections, paste it into Gemini API key, and select Save connections. Your own provider’s usage is billed by that provider.
All normal Munkey features are available on Free and Pro. Pro increases your class, student, storage, and included AI allowances.
Munkey can grant Pro until an agreed expiration date, without billing you. You can see the expiry in your account. When it ends, your account returns to the plan you otherwise qualify for; the grant never automatically becomes a paid subscription.
The base institution license includes no Munkey-funded AI. Your institution can configure its own Gemini key or supported model server, and supported local models remain available. Contact us about future managed AI options and custom integrations.
